All About Spelling is a building block program: each level builds upon the previous one. In order to build a strong foundation, most students start with Level 1.
This means your child should complete All About Spelling Level 2 before starting Level 3.
This set of Level 3 Materials contains:
- All About Spelling Level 3 Teacher’s Manual
- All About Spelling Level 3 Student Packet
Level 3 in the All About Spelling series brings together the three pathways to learning—auditory (hearing), visual(seeing), and kinesthetic (touching). This multisensory approach, combined with a built-in review system and reinforcement activities, ensures that students retain what they learn and understand how to apply it in practical situations.
In Level 3, your student will continue to learn encoding skills, reliable spelling rules, and multisensory strategies for spelling, along with exciting new concepts including 10 new phonograms, the jobs of Silent E, words with C+l-e syllables, contractions, homophones, consonant and vowel suffixes, and past tense. Phonological awareness and encoding skills are taught throughout Level 3. See Samples of the Materials below.
Student pack and parents manuals can also be purchased separately. Please contact us for prices.
The optional extra book All About Homophones is an option extra and is a complete teaching tool kit that helps you demystify homophones and homonyms for students. Homophones are words that sound the same but are spelled differently, like rode and road, principle and principal.
Please note: In addition to the Level 3 Materials, you will also need to purchase the Basic Spelling Interactive Kit. If you already use the Reading Interactive Kit, Spelling Dividers can be purchased to adapt the Reading Interactive Kit for Spelling. The Interactive Kit contains non-consumable items that are used throughout the entire All About Spelling program.
